What date did you go live with TR.Net? - Live date: 03/15/05 |
Since going live, how many transactions have been processed through the Web? - Credit Card: 88 ECheck:104 |
What is the total dollar amount that you have received through .Net? - Credit Card: $16,115.73 ECheck: $8716.68 Note: There has been no "advertisement" of the .Net applications at this time, neither has there been a due date since we went "live". We expect these numbers to increase dramatically once the first half tax bills are mailed. |
In your own words, how would you say the Treasurers .Net package has performed for you. - I am excited about the opportunities the .Net program offers for both the citizens and this office. We had our own ECheck program before .Net, but it was very time consuming. We have certainly enjoyed the transformation from that manual process. Also, the access to information that the citizens have is a great benefit. |
Any additional comments about BAI.Net. - I am sure that additional changes will be required as we continue to refine the Treasurers package, and as we add more localities. However, I am pleased with the progress so far. David Jarrett has been WONDERFUL in listening to the needs of the Treasurers and making adjustments to the programs. |

"BAI.Net has saved us time in ways that we had not originally expected, ie. phone calls from lawyers and taxpayers. The installation went fairly smoothly and others will benefit from the small problems we encountered in that BAI will be prepared for them. Also, the daily reconciliations are very simple in that they are handled just like a cash drawer." |

Building Inspectors Package |

"Culpeper County struggled to find a solution that would allow our Building Inspectors to use laptops in the field for inspections. After working with another vendor for more than a year, we turned to BAI for a solution. BAI.NET gives us the solution we need now and is already for the next step, wireless cellular communications, when availability comes to Culpeper. The program is modeled after the correct inspection ticket, so there was only a small learning curve when it came to what the inspector would see on the screen. The inspector has the history, comments and additional inspections all available to them at the site and repetitive inspection comments are now programmed, which saves deciphering hand written notes. We had not even begun to accomplish this with the other software. No more returning to the office and keying in results, click the “upload” on and the building files are updated. And best of all, the entire cost was less than two years support with the other vendor. So if you are looking for an e-gov solution for Inspection, I recommend that you try BAI.NET first and compare the difference." |
